Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Because Bigelow Tea also happens to be celebrating “back to school” right now, we thought we’d introduce you to a few of our favorite Hispanic libros! We think you will find them muy interesantes. These books, by the way, go great with a warm cup of our Apple Cider Herb Tea.

The Old Gringo by Carlos Fuentes takes place during the Mexican Revolution. It tells the tale of writer Ambrose Bierce, the American writer, soldier, and journalist who is close to Pancho Villa and goes missing. It’s a great novel for those who love history and suspense. You’ll drink cup after cup of tea with this book!

If you enjoy trilogies, you’ll find Isabel Allende’s House of the SpiritsDaughter of Fortune, andPortrait in Sepia to be page-turners. These books tell a story of immigration, politics, love and power. This Chilean author will draw you into the story, and Bigelow Tea has the perfect tea pairing. It’s Bigelow’s Chinese Oolong … you’ll have to read the books to find out why.

Looking for a Mexican love story to go with Bigelow’s Chocolate Chai tea? Laura Esquivel’s novel Like Water for Chocolate is just what you’re seeking. If you don’t have time to read the book, be sure to watch the film.

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!
